Provider (MD/DO/APN/PA) Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive medical care with a focus on preventive strategies and holistic well-being.
• Partner with patients to develop personalized health plans, integrating their insights and goals.
• Stay current with the latest clinical guidelines, research, and technological advancements to provide innovative and effective healthcare solutions.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
• Educate and empower patients to make informed decisions about their health.
• Advocate for patient needs and ensure their concerns are addressed with empathy and professionalism.
• Support and contribute to the development of new service lines, including Functional Medicine.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize clinical quality and patient experience.
• Take initiative in identifying and addressing high-value activities to ensure productivity and efficiency.
• Embrace flexibility and adapt to various roles and responsibilities as needed, including potential coverage for other team members.
• Uphold the highest standards of integrity and transparency in all interactions and practices.

 

Qualifications:

Licensure and Eligibility

• MD/DO/APN/PA with an active, unrestricted license to practice in New Jersey, in good standing and free of current restrictions, limitations, probation, or pending disciplinary action in any state of licensure.
• Board certification, or board eligibility with a defined path to certification, appropriate to the role.
• Active, unrestricted DEA registration, or eligibility to obtain one prior to start.
• Eligible to participate in federal and state healthcare programs — not currently excluded, debarred, suspended, or otherwise ineligible.
• Ability to be successfully credentialed, and to remain in good standing, with Commercial and Government Payers.
• Ability to be successfully credentialed, and to remain in good standing, with local hospitals.
• Eligible for coverage under YHealth’s professional liability insurance policy on standard terms.
• Complete and verifiable education, training, and professional work history.

Clinical and Practice

• Experience in a clinical setting, with a focus on preventive care and patient education.
• Strong commitment to patient-centric care and positive health outcomes.
• Dedication to professional growth and continuous learning.
• Interest in contributing to new service lines, including Functional Medicine.

Communication and Technology

• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients, families, and colleagues in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust quickly with patients.
• Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and other healthcare technologies.
• Comfortable with everyday technology — laptop, office productivity software, cloud software, scribe technology — with efficient typing.
• Ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks in a dynamic healthcare setting.

Conditions of Employment:

All offers of employment at YHealth are contingent upon successful completion of our credentialing and onboarding process. That process includes:

• Primary source verification of licensure, education, postgraduate training, and board certification.
• A query of the National Practitioner Data Bank (NPDB).
• Review of licensing board actions and disciplinary history in all states of licensure.
• Verification of eligibility to participate in federal and state healthcare programs, including exclusion screening.
• Review of professional liability claims history and confirmation of insurability under our carrier.
• Professional reference checks.
• A background check and any screenings required by law, payer contract, or hospital bylaws, conducted in accordance with applicable federal and state law.
